My Insights:What struck me most about Khan Baba wasn't just the food-it was the peace of mind.As a Muslim traveller in a vast cities like Beijing or Shanghai, fidning a place that is unequivocally Halal and feels culturally familiar can be a challenge.Khan Baba delievered that rare combination of authentic flavor and compete trust.The Butter Chicken wasnt't just creamy; it tasted like it was made with care,nor just for profit.Seeing the phone number printed clearly on their takeaway bags wasn't a marketing gimmick to me;it was a sign of transparency and confidence.In an area like Wudaokou,filled with transient students,Khan Baba stands out as stable,reliable anchor for our community.Its more than a resturant ;its a small piece of home away from home.The only thing i feel bad about this resturant is that, they have not many branches,they need to open more brnaches in different cities of China.

If you are Muslim traveler visisting Beijing and craving a hearty flavour-ful Hala meal, then Khan Baba Rresturant (Wudaoku Branch) is an absoulte must visiting place.It is known for its risch variety of Muslim authentic Pakistani taste.This resturant has reputation of one of the best Halal food spots in the city.

During my recenet,I was completly blown away by the incredible taste ,atmosphere and overall dining experience.Let me walk you through my visits with its pros and cons!.

The Wudaokou branch is one of the most popular and reputed among the Khan Baba outlets across China, and it truly lives up to its name. If you are a Muslim visiting Beijing and looking for a great halal food experience, this is the place to be.

For ambience i can say,i was impressed by the restaurant’s clean and tidy interiors as soon as i enetred. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with comfortable seating arrangements and a decor that had just the right mix of traditional and contemporary touches. The furniture was sturdy, the lighting was perfect, and the overall atmosphere made me feel right at home.

The restaurant's ambiance is ideal for both casual dining and small gatherings. Whether you're visiting alone or with friends and family, the setting is perfect for enjoying a good meal. And the friendly staff only added to the positive experience—everyone was welcoming and made sure our dining experience was flawless.

When it comes to Halal food, Khan Baba offers an impressive range of dishes, including traditional Pakistani and Indian flavors, all cooked with fresh ingredients. For menu and pricing i can say i had a feast for the sense and good for the wallet.As someone who enjoys indulging in the rich flavors of South Asian cuisine, I was eager to dive in!

I didn't order not very large number of item this time but on menu below were the specialities in their menu:

1. Chicken Karhai: A rich, flavorful curry cooked with tender chicken and aromatic spices. It was the perfect balance of heat and flavor.
2. Chicken Botti: Juicy chicken pieces marinated in spices and grilled to perfection—absolutely delicious.
3. Chicken Biryani: Fragrant and flavorful, the biryani was packed with well-cooked chicken, fragrant rice, and just the right amount of spices.
4. Butter Naan: Soft, buttery, and perfect for dipping into the curries—this naan was a great accompaniment.
5. Kachumar Salad: A refreshing side of chopped cucumber, tomato, and onions, providing a light contrast to the rich curries and grilled meats.
6. Seekh Kebab Chicken: Succulent and full of flavor, these skewered kebabs were a real treat.
7. Chicken Tikka Botti: Another grilled delight that was tender, juicy, and well-marinated.

The total cost for all of this delicious food was more than reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes and the quality of the dishes. When you’re in a big, often expensive city like Beijing, finding such good food at a reasonable price is a true gem.

One thing that truly stood out to me was how the restaurant packed our leftovers for takeaway. Often, restaurant takeaways can feel like a rushed afterthought, but Khan Baba’s food stayed just as delicious the next day. The packaging was neat, and the food maintained its freshness, allowing us to enjoy it for the next few days. If you’re staying in Beijing for an extended period, I highly recommend taking some food with you to savor later!

The Only Sad Part!

I think they need to open more branches in differnet places of China specially in Hanghzou city which is also one of the biggest cities of China.

 When vocation comes we often got confuse where to go with family or firends. After a lot of research i found a place "Khanpur Dam in Pakistan" a perfect blend of adventure, nature, and tranquility .This is a destination that should be on your radar. 
Located just outside Islamabad, Khanpur Dam offers stunning views, thrilling activities like parasailing, and the peaceful escape of a resort stay by the water. I had the opportunity to experience this incredible place, and in this post, I’ll share my experience with you—from parasailing to serene boat rides and my honest review of the site.

My Insights: This blog review is based on my real trip to Khanpur Dam in July 2019. The thrill of seeing the dam is not for the first time ,i have visited this place many times,but this time it's quite different as i stayed their in near loduges for few days.The dawn & dusks were so mesmerizing and the peace of morning boat ride were my genuine memories.I didn't take the parasailing ride ,which is why i wont recommoned but this ride was available their and which is why i shared the pictures and people were enjoying that ride too but be mindful of it's risks.I have shared this to give you an honest,personal look at what this place is really like, beyond just the basic facts.

So guys,in July 2019, I had the chance to visit Khanpur Dam, one of the most picturesque locations located in District Haripur of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at a distance of 50 km north of Islamabad. Surrounded by hills and lush greenery, the landscape is nothing short of breathtaking. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat or an adrenaline-pumping adventure, the dam offers both in abundance. The area around the dam is known for its crystal-clear water and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. And if you visit at the right time, like I did, you can witness stunning dawn and dusk scenes that are simply unforgettable.

Parasailing: A Thrilling Adventure

I must say, one of the main attractions at Khanpur Dam is parasailing, and it was definitely something thrilling to try. The thought of soaring above the dam's waters with the wind in your hair and the vast blue sky around you sounded absolutely exhilarating. However, I didn't try that because i had some concerns about the safety measures. After observing the protocols in place, I didn’t feel as secure as I would have liked, which made me hesitant to go for the experience. If you're thinking about parasailing here, I highly recommend doing thorough research about the operators and asking about their safety procedures to make sure you feel comfortable before taking the leap.

Boat Rides: A Serene Way to Explore

One of the highlights of my trip was the boat rides around Khanpur Dam. Cruising on the water, surrounded by hills and greenery, felt like a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The gentle rocking of the boat and the sound of the water made it an incredibly relaxing experience. The views were spectacular, with lush landscapes and calm waters, making it the perfect setting for some quiet reflection or even a leisurely picnic.

Staying Near the Dam: a Hotel Review

• I stayed in a hotel "Lake View" in year 2019 in the month of July. 
• My room was near Khanpur Dam, which offered a beautiful view of the water.
• The hotel room was clean, perfect for two people, air-conditioned, and comfortable. 
• The bathroom was average. 
• The decor and furniture was normal. 
• The atmosphere was calm and serene, allowing me to enjoy the beauty of nature while still being close to all the adventure activities the area has to offer. 
• Outdoor sitting area was the best part of this hotel.
• There had a fireplace, but we didn't try.
• One highlight was the free breakfast, which was delicious. The tea and snacks we ordered delivered promptly, and we were very happy with the service.

I rate this stay 100% peaceful because of natural surroundings which made it the perfect getaway for relaxation. But the best part was waking up to the breathtaking views each morning—absolutely mind-blowing every time!

Dawn & Dusk: The Best Views in Khanpur Dam

If i say what will i always remember about Khanpur dam is "The natural beauty of Khanpur Dam" especially mesmerizing at dawn and dusk. I made sure to wake up early to catch the sunrise over the dam and hills, and the view was absolutely worth it. The soft light illuminating the misty hills and the shimmering water was a sight I’ll never forget. Similarly, the sunsets were equally stunning, with the sky turning into a mix of warm orange and pink hues, reflecting beautifully on the water.

The best views at Khanpur Dam unfold during dawn and dusk, when the sky reflects on the calm waters.

Honest Review: A Must-Visit, But Keep a Few Things in Mind

So just wrap it up now,overall, my experience at Khanpur Dam was fantastic. The scenic beauty, adventure activities like parasailing and boat rides, and the resort stay made it a memorable trip. However, there are a few things to consider before planning your visit:

• Prices: The resort rates are higher as compared to the hotel rates.
• The boat/Launch ride prices can be a bit high. If you're traveling on a budget, this might be something to keep in mind.
• Parasailing Safety: While parasailing is an exciting adventure, I did feel that the safety measures could have been better. It’s always good to ensure that you’re comfortable with the safety protocols before taking part in such an activity.

Final Thoughts

My final thought is,despite a few minor concerns about pricing and safety, Khanpur Dam is undoubtedly a must-visit destination in Pakistan. Whether you’re an adventure enthusiast looking for parasailing thrills or someone seeking a peaceful retreat surrounded by natural beauty, Khanpur Dam has something for everyone. The combination of stunning views, relaxing boat rides, and the adventure of parasailing makes this place an unforgettable experience.

Step into an enchanting underwater realm as you descend into a world of vibrant marine life. Surrounded by massive tanks filled with colorful fish, sea creatures, and aquatic wonders, the adventure truly begins here

My Insights: Whether you are a marine enthusiast , a photopgrapher , or simply someone who enjoys awe-inspiring attractions,this place bound to leave you speechless. But You must spare a whole day to explore its each and every section.The foot trails are marked by direction signes, will guide you throughout the aquarium. A major highlight is the moving walkway(like a flat esclator)-you can simply stand on it and it genetly carries you through the massive underwater tunnel,offering breathtaking view without any walking fatigue. Be aware , the place gets very crowded on weekends,for more relax experience,i highly recomend visting on weekday. 

When i entered in the Shanghai Ocean Aquarium, i was greeted by a spacious ticketing area where you can easily purchase your tickets. The excitement builds a head inside when you take an elevator that descends into the ocean-themed world below. The journey truly begins the moment you step off the elevator. The atmosphere is nothing short of magical, as you find yourself surrounded by large tanks filled with marine life — a true undersea world that feels almost dreamlike.

   

The Underwater Experience

One of the highlights of the aquarium is its underwater tunnel.When i walked through a glass tunnel, ,many fish and other sea creatures glided above and around me. The sensation of being submerged in the ocean is utterly mesmerizing, and it's hard not to be awestruck by the beauty of the marine life all around you. From schools of colorful fish to graceful rays and jellyfish, it's a one-of-a-kind experience.

Experience the awe-inspiring beauty of marine life up close. Surrounded by vibrant creatures and the calming rhythm of the ocean, this immersive encounter is truly a one-of-a-kind journey beneath the waves.

                                  
Throughout the exhibit, I could hear the excited chatter of fellow visitors, all trying to capture the perfect moment with their cameras. But it's the kind of place where, at times, you’ll want to just stop and take it all in, rather than worry about getting the perfect shot.

A Deeper Dive

 After spending time in the main exhibit hall, another elevator took me to the more deeper, more immersive areas. This i encountered wide variety of sea creatures, from hammerhead sharks that look a little intimidating at first to peculiar fish with "mustaches" gliding by. It’s an opportunity to learn about the diversity of ocean life, with fascinating creatures from various depths of the sea.

The underwater world is full of surprises—from the intimidating presence of hammerhead sharks to the quirky, mustached fish gliding gracefully by, each creature adds to the wonder of this marine adventure.

The Penguin's Paradise

Here, in this section, i found two stuffed penguins on display and live penguins swimming lazily in a nearby enclosure. While the live penguins seemed almost frozen in place at times, their cuteness was undeniable. Watching them waddle around or dive into the water was truly a highlight of the visit.

The Jellyfish Extravaganza

Next, i entered a huge section dedicated to jellyfish. At first, tiny jellyfish floated gracefully in their tanks, their translucent bodies pulsing rhythmically in the water. The way they moved was hypnotic, showcasing the beauty of these delicate creatures. But what took the experience to the next level was the giant blue jellyfish aquarium. These jellyfish, glowing with an ethereal blue light, put on a stunning visual performance, creating a mesmerizing spectacle that seemed almost like art in motion.

Grace in the Ocean: Rays and Turtles

As i continued through the aquarium, i encountered an impressive display of manta rays and stingrays. The stingrays glided through the water with such grace, their large wings floating effortlessly as if they were flying through the ocean. It's easy to imagine them as graceful, flying creatures of the sea, effortlessly moving through their watery home.

Marvel at the elegance of manta rays and stingrays as they glide effortlessly through the water. Their expansive wings create the illusion of flying beneath the surface, offering a breathtaking display of grace and fluidity.

One of the most memorable parts of the journey was witnessing a giant sea turtle swimming above me. This majestic creature moved slowly but with such elegance, it was as if it was dancing through the water. It felt surreal to be so close to such an ancient, peaceful being.

A School of Fish to Remember

The most exhilarating part of the experience was walking through a large tank filled with a school of fish. The fish swirled and darted around us, their silver scales reflecting the light as they moved in perfect synchrony. The sheer number of fish gave you the feeling that you were truly a part of the ocean — they swam so close that it felt like they might brush against you. This moment, surrounded by hundreds of fish, was one of the most unforgettable experiences of the visit.

My Insights:  There is nodoubt the Shanghai's skyline is a masterpiece ,everyone wants a photo from the top, but the most surprising thing for me was the professional photo service on the observation desk .For about 200 yuan,they take your picture but use a digitally created background of Shanghi landmarks instead of real view behind you.It felt a bit inauthentic to me.My advice?Bring your own camers! the real 360 degree view is breathtaking enough. Also visiting on weekday was right decesion for me, as it helped me avoid the biggest crowds,making the experience much more peaceful and allowing me to truly take in the magnitude of the city from that incredible height.

Upon reaching the 118th floor, i was awestrucked by the panoramic views. The sprawling city of Shanghai looks like a miniature world from there. The surrounding skyscrapers appeared small, while the winding Huangpu River and the ships navigating below seemed like tiny specks on the water.

At this height, i felt the magnitude of Shanghai’s urban landscape, and it was a humbling yet exhilarating experience to gaze out over the city.

Reaching the 118th floor of the Shanghai Tower offers breathtaking panoramic views of Shanghai, where the city’s sprawling skyline and the winding Huangpu River appear as miniature details from above.

Best Views & Photo Tips

The observation deck offers 360-degree views of the city, making it an excellent spot for photos. I took so many photos that caused my phone memory alomost full,lolz. For the best shots, i advice,visit during sunset or nighttime when the city lights create a stunning visual effect. One of the most heartwarming features i found on the observation deck is the Wishing Wall, where visitor were locking their personal wishes. Nearby, the Wishing Tree was adorned with cards from people all over the world, each one representing someone’s hopes and dreams. It’s a beautiful tradition that adds a symbolic touch to your visit. However, i couldn't write my own wish because, to my disappointment, "I hadn't brough a pen with me".

After soaking in the views and capturing plenty of photos, a time came to descend back to the ground. The elevator ride down was just as thrilling as the ride up — so fast it almost felt like falling. When i exit the building and looked up at the Shanghai Tower, it was hard to believe that i was just at the very top before few moment ago.
